Step 1: Ethically Mined in Sri Lanka — The Gem Island of the World
Our journey begins in Sri Lanka, historically known as Ceylon — a land celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest natural gemstones.
In the gem-rich region of Ratnapura (literally meaning “City of Gems”), local miners extract gemstones using traditional, hand-dug methods passed down through generations. These small-scale mining communities work in harmony with the land, ensuring that the process is as respectful as it is rare.
We are proud to partner directly with ethical, small-scale gem mines in Sri Lanka, prioritizing:
✅ No child labour – We strictly support safe, adult-only employment practices.
✅ Fair wages for miners – Our partners ensure miners are compensated fairly for their skilled, labour-intensive work.
✅ Environmentally sustainable practices – We avoid mechanized exploitation and protect the natural landscape.
✅ Full gem traceability – Every gemstone’s origin is documented, from mine to final design.
Each Ceylon gemstone we use is hand-selected not only for its brilliance, colour, and rarity — but for the integrity of its origin.

As the founder and designer, I, Sahan Udayanga, personally design every item in our collection. My creations are inspired by:
